the CAST of CHARACTERS

-----------------------------------------------

Ice Tre
Your boy. Your homie. Ice Tre's origins are a mystery to most. It's believed he had SOME level of training at The Vin Zachary School of Wrestling before embarking on an Indy career marred by weak performance followed by embarassing performance, etc. Tre makes up in charisma and likeability what he lacks in in-ring talent, a quality that has garnered him a cult following like absolutely no other. Tre's stint in Empire Pro Wrestling represents the longest he's ever remained in a promotion, a fact he attributes to the career management of Cassidy Stewart, his agent.

Cassidy Stewart
A reformed womanizer and confessed Republican, Cassidy Stewart has served the wrestling industry at many capacities behind the scenes throughout the years. Internet columnist, talent scout, and even a stint as a member of Superior Championship Wrestling's Executive Committee, Stewart is best known as the Talent Representative who steered the career of the late Cyrus Blackshire. Now juggling duties as the head of The VZ School of Wrestling, the agent for problematic EPW "star", Ice Tre, and devoted husband of Vin Zachary's only daughter, Rebecca, it's safe to say that Cassidy Stewart always has a full plate. He likes it that way.

Mason Xavier (Havoc)
Born Thomas Mason Xavier, the man who would go on to be called "Havoc" knew he wanted to be a Professional Wrestler after seeing "The Shredder" perform when he was just 5. Following his dream, he entered The Vin Zachary School of Wrestling in 1993 and graduated in 1995. "Yukon" Jack (Brannigan), a well-known scout of the time and one of Vin Zachary's best friends, saw a young "Havoc" perform at an indy show and immediately signed him for dbW and the eWf. It wasn't until 1998, when Havoc was packaged together with 'The Mighty' Ric Samson and billed as "The Equalizers" (and signed by brash promoter J-Smooth's HEW) that Havoc truly caught on with an audience. Soon he was standing atop SCW. Then the CSWA as a long-running CSWA United States Champion. His feud with Hardcore Legend, Zero, spanned 3 promotions and captured the attention of the world. Injuries mounting from that bitter three year long feud, a brutal stint in the CWL and an equally arduous one-shot return match in SCW against former partner, Ric Samson, forced Mason's in-ring career into dormancy. His personal life wasn't all that rosier. Married to Vin's daughter, Rebecca, for a time when they were MUCH younger, it wasn't until years later that he learned they had a child together, Brooke. Even still, attempts to rekindle their romance fizzled (as nearly ALL relationships of his did) and he would continue on alone, romantically. Attempts to return to the ring on a Professional level (including a near-signing by EPW and a return to the CSWA) would be tarnished by emergencies at The VZ, where he'd taken on the role of Head Trainer in 2003.

Vin Zachary (born 1927, debut 1946, retired 1971)
Under the mask of "The Shredder", Vin Zachary showcased his hard-hitting technical ability and took the West Coast wrestling scene of the late 40's and early 50's by storm. Quickly rising through the ranks, he shone as one of the CWL's top heels in the early-60's. Leaving the sport in '71, he opened his own wrestling school in San Diego, California with $40 left in the bank. Over the years the school produced hundreds of graduates, a handful of which would go on to further international and acclaim -- a select few who would one day go on to become World Champions of top promotions. In 2004, Vin retired from the School -- placing financial control in the hands of new son-in-law, Cassidy Stewart, with ex-son-in-law and most notable graduate, Mason Xavier (Havoc), as the School's Head Trainer. Vin has not aged well, with health problems stemming from years of physical abuse and wear and tear.

Rebecca Stewart
Only daughter of Vin Zachary, Rebecca is stubborn and smart. She grew up jaded by the wrestling business and her mostly-absentee father. The life of the road had stolen so much of their relationship. It wasn't until he opened his school when their bond blossomed. It was when she fell in love with one of her father's students, a young man named Mason, when her whole life changed. They married, quite young, and all was well ... until she tried to convince the up and comer to QUIT the business. To quit the road. He couldn't. They divorced. Havoc threw himself into the sport, headfirst. His heartbreak and lonliness spurring him onward, ultimately to success. She quietly raised their child, Brooke, in San Diego ... until she finally brought them together -- so relieved she did. Even with Mason "retired", his heart was still with the road -- not with her, she believed. And thus, they remained seperated. She met Cassidy Stewart and was quickly swept off her feet. They married in 2004 and have remained happily so since.

Brooke Lynn Xavier
Mason and Rebecca's child, born soon after their divorce in 1996. Her existence was kept as a secret from Mason -- against all of Vin Zachary's protestations -- until 2001, when the guilt overcame her and Rebecca finally introduced young Brooke to her father after a CWL PPV. Mason and his daughter are now nearly inseperable, Brooke slowly taking on traces of her father's sarcasm. Since Rebecca chose to marry Cassidy Stewart, Brooke has moved in with her dad -- harboring a clear and distinct resentment for the perceived interloper. It is clear that Brooke harbors hopes that her parents might reunite.

Don Zachary
The oldest of the Zachary children, now in his late-forties, Don Zachary serves as a longtime Trainer at The VZ School of Wrestling. His time spent Pro was unfortunately shortlived, when a severe knee injury in 1991 put him out of the sport completely. He proudly returned to his father's side and had a hand in molding the styles of some of the best to come out of The VZ.

Vincent Zachary Jr.
Twin brother of Rebecca, Vincent Jr. rejected the wrestling environment he was raised in and rebelled early and at a young age. Finding himself in trouble with the law, Vin Sr. put his son in Military School as soon as was legally acceptable. Vincent Jr. resisted at first, but eventually excelled. He would go on to serve his country in the first Gulf War as well as in Afghanistan, where he remains still.
